Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Days (7am-3:30pm; open to 10 or 12-hour shifts), on-call weekend and holiday rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub person duties during intraoperative surgical procedures in a busy orthopedic/spine surgery center
- Assist in preparing and dispensing instruments, equipment, and supplies required for surgeries
- Conduct instrument, needle, sharp, and sponge counts; handle surgical specimens
- Assist with application of dressings or casts and patient mobility
- Support decontamination and reprocessing areas as assigned
- Maintain inventory within the Operating Room and on surgical carts
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program or equivalent (new grads considered)
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
- National certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists is a plus, not required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous orthopedic/spine OR experience is a plus but not mandatory; willing to train candidates
