Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, dayshift (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.
- Assist in maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring patient safety throughout surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to support various procedures including neuro, spine, joint replacements, and cardiovascular surgeries.
- Monitor and respond to patient needs before, during, and after surgeries.
- Adhere to all unit policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including orientation to site policies.
- Rotate with staff for on-call duties and participate in call rotations as discussed during interview.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN license
- BLS certification
- At least 2 years of OR nursing experience, including experience with major surgeries such as neuro, spine, or cardiac procedures
- Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Heart surgery experience (CABG, valves)
- CNOR certification
- Skills in specialized areas such as robotics, orthopedics, ENT, GYN, plastics, thoracic, or general surgery
