• Full-time, night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Float to multiple intensive care units including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID-19 units.
• Provide independent, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients across various ICU specialties.
• Adapt to floating to inpatient floors and non-critical care units based on census and staffing needs, including patient sitter duties if required.
• Maintain patient safety and ensure compliance with all hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow established protocols for complex procedures such as vasoactive drips, vent management, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Required Qualifications

• Valid state RN license (Missouri, Illinois preferred, or compact license).
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, with floating experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to interpret Swan-Ganz catheter data and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Competency with Vasoactive drips, vents, IV starts, and telemetry.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO, Impella, IABP, CRRT.
• Additional certifications such as CCRN, NIH, ONS, TNCC, CPI.
• Knowledge of Level 1 trauma protocols, ICP monitoring, and triage.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
