Registered Nurse - CVICU

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and ensure a safe, efficient environment for cardiovascular intensive care procedures and patient care
- Review patient charts, laboratory results, and consent documents prior to procedures; communicate abnormalities to physicians or nurse practitioners
- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patients pre- and post-procedure, communicating any abnormal findings promptly
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, device implantations, structural heart interventions, and neuro-interventional procedures
- Administer procedural sedation following hospital policies and accurately document all procedures, patient care activities, and handoffs in electronic systems
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and patient-centered environment, ensuring comfort and privacy at all times
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Delaware
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience working in ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab settings preferred
- Ability to operate and assist with specialized cardiology and neuro-interventional equipment, including fluoroscopy, intra-cardiac ultrasound, and 3D mapping systems
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous RN experience in a Cardiovascular or Electrophysiology (EP) lab
- Familiarity with complex cardiac and neuro-interventional procedures such as TAVR, LAAO, carotid stenting, stroke thrombectomy, and aneurysm coiling
- Strong documentation skills and ability to work independently during diagnostic and interventional procedures
