Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the operating room environment.
• Provide safe, efficient, and high-quality nursing care aligned with unit standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, staff, and patients to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Demonstrate professionalism and respect towards patients, families, and staff.
• Respond effectively to emergency and crisis situations in the surgical setting.

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• ACLS Certification from the AHA.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 year of operating room or surgical nursing experience.
• Knowledge of bloodborne pathogens standards related to surgical environments.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills suitable for a diverse patient population.
