• Registered Nurse - Oncology
Location
• Columbus, OH
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shift (12-hour shifts), 13-16 week contract
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to oncology and hematology patients on a Med/Surg unit, including patients with lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemias, sickle cell disease, and other non-hem cancer diagnoses
• Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and manage oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome
• Perform IV therapy, blood product administration, central line blood draws, and manage PICC lines and peripheral IVs
• Monitor patient telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response team calls
• Maintain strict infection prevention protocols and focus on patient safety, including fall prevention and infection control
Required Qualifications
• Valid Ohio or Compact State RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Ability to perform IV therapy, blood draws, and central line management
• Proficiency with electronic medical records using EPIC or equivalent system
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Hematology experience considered a plus
• Experience in Med/Surg units with focus on hematology/oncology patient care
