Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to labor and delivery patients within an acute care hospital setting.
- Monitor fetal and maternal health, administer medications, and assist during labor and delivery procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records using Epic.
- Float within hospital units and to nearby affiliate facilities as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, working effectively during major holidays when required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN license in hand.
- BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Epic charting experience required.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on days, with availability to work holidays and included RTO at time of submission.
- Reliable transportation within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience working in an acute care hospital with a 200-bed capacity.
- Experience floating between units and sister facilities.
- Strong communication skills with supervisory references covering at least 1 year of relevant experience.
