Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to labor and delivery patients within an acute care hospital setting.
• Monitor fetal and maternal health, administer medications, and assist during labor and delivery procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records using Epic.
• Float within hospital units and to nearby affiliate facilities as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, working effectively during major holidays when required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license in hand.
• BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on days, with availability to work holidays and included RTO at time of submission.
• Reliable transportation within a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in an acute care hospital with a 200-bed capacity.
• Experience floating between units and sister facilities.
• Strong communication skills with supervisory references covering at least 1 year of relevant experience.
