Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, various shifts (day, evening, night) with rotating weekends, potential overtime

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high-acuity patients in an intermediate care setting, often too critical for a medical/surgical floor but not requiring ICU care
• Provide specialized care for conditions such as sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, post open-heart procedures, and patients on continuous cardiac or respiratory monitoring
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients, serving as an advocate and educator to patients and families
• Monitor hemodynamics and respiratory status, and intervene promptly upon any changes
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Required Qualifications

• Valid and current registered nursing license in the state of practice
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for critically ill patients in an intermediate care or stepdown setting
• Ability to respond quickly to acute changes in patient condition
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
