- Full-time, contract, 13-week assignment, night shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Monitor fetal heart rates and respond to changes using fetal monitoring equipment
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient progress and procedures accurately in the medical records system
- Adhere to hospital policies, policies on infection control, and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Labor and Delivery unit
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Fetal monitoring certification (intermediate or advanced preferred)
- Proficiency with Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with high-risk pregnancies and neonatal care
- Familiarity with hospital float policies and staffing procedures
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and unit protocols
