Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Kansas City, MO
Schedule / Job Type: Travel, 13-week assignment, overnight shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care within a busy medical-surgical unit, specializing in nephrology and transplant patients.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform assessments in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans.
• Document patient information accurately using the Meditech system.
• Educate patients and families about their care and post-discharge instructions.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including wearing appropriate uniform and following safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• ADN degree in Nursing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience with med/surg care, nephrology, kidney transplants, dialysis (off-unit).
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital setting.
• Familiarity with dialysis procedures and nephrology nursing.
• Knowledge of Meditech documentation system.
