Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for surgical patients.
• Assist with a variety of surgical procedures across multiple service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort through preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
• Follow established policies and procedures, documenting patient information accurately in Cerner system.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and support staff to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
• Float to other departments as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of perioperative nursing experience.
• Relevant nursing license in the state of North Carolina.
• Experience in various surgical service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma.
• Ability to work a 12-hour day shift schedule.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and operating room protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with Cerner documentation system.
• Knowledge of modern surgical technology and equipment.
• Ability to adapt to variable procedures and schedule flexibility.
