Respiratory Therapist
Location: John Day, OR
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 13-week assignment, on-site, day shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments to patients based on physician orders and patient needs.
- Monitor and assess patient respiratory status, adjusting treatments as necessary.
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license or credentials in the state of Oregon.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Proven experience in a hospital or clinical setting providing respiratory therapy.
- Strong communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Previous experience working in a hospital environment.
- Bilingual skills or additional language proficiency (preferred but not required).
