Job Title
• Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant
Location
• Jacksonville, IL
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, outpatient position with flexible shifts (5x8 or 4x10 hours), daytime hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide outpatient physical therapy services to geriatric and orthopedic patients
• Perform assessments including AROM, AAROM, PROM, pain, and skin integrity evaluations
• Assist with mobility devices such as crutches, gait belts, and walkers
• Adhere to safety and body mechanics protocols
• Document patient care in Cerner charting system
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to meet patient goals
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient Physical Therapy Assistance experience
• Valid Illinois state license or active application with an ETA
• BLS certification
• CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Active or pending Illinois PTA license
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in geriatrics and orthopedics specialties
• Proficiency with assistive devices and assistive assessment skills
• Knowledge of hospital charting systems (Cerner)
• Strong time management skills
