Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Nights, Full-time, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide primary nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU, including ventilated, sedated, and post-surgical patients.
• Titrate and manage ICU-specific drips such as vasopressors, sedation, and pain control medications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot hospital telemetry equipment and assist with ventilator management.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and telemetry staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with OSF policies, including documentation, medication administration, and safety protocols.
• Participate in orientation and continuous training to meet unit standards.

Required Qualifications
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license or confirmation that application has been initiated.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with PEG tube care, CVC/PICC/Midline management, and tracheostomy patient care.
• Ability to titrate ICU drips such as Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levophed, Dopamine, and Cardizem.
• Knowledge of ICU diagnoses including respiratory failure, post-surgical recovery, wound care, CVA, trauma, and cardiac conditions.
• Familiarity with hard-wired Phillips telemetry monitors and troubleshooting ventilator equipment.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous ICU experience in a critical care setting.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent patient assessment and monitoring skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
