Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Title:

• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location:

• Denton, TX

Schedule / Job Type:

• Full-time, Travel, Nights shift, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to trauma and surgical patients on the stepdown unit
• Monitor patient status using telemetry and routinely assess patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and facilitate appropriate interventions

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Trauma and orthopedic nursing experience
• Meditech electronic health record system proficiency
• Experience managing patients with neurological and cardiac conditions
