Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Plainview, TX

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts (12 hours)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a low acuity ICU environment, floating between units as needed.
• Work independently in a charge nurse capacity over a Med-Surg unit, managing patient care for approximately 3 patients per nurse.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, including ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
• Work in a fast-paced, short-term acute care setting with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.
• Participate in rotating holiday coverage, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience.
• Valid state nursing license; compact license accepted.
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Ability to work independently and manage low acuity ICU patients.
• Must be able to work night shifts on a 12-hour schedule.
• Must be able to commit to scheduled holidays.
• Pass drug screen and background check (Nursys and BG hits not accepted).

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience as a charge nurse in Med-Surg or ICU.
• Ability to float between units and adapt to changing patient needs.
• Prior experience in a Level IV Trauma Center preferred.
