Registered Nurse Observation

Schedule / Job Type

• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week, full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to observation unit patients within scope of practice
• Monitor patient conditions, reports, and respond to patient needs during assigned shifts
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health record system
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Adhere to all safety, compliance, and licensing requirements
• Float within facility to meet operational needs, including sister facilities as required

Required Qualifications

• Valid South Carolina RN license or eligible to obtain prior to start
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Current radiation badge (if applicable)
• Minimum of 1-year nursing experience in a clinical setting (no first-timers accepted)
• Ability to work night shifts and support floating requirements within scope of practice

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in observation or inpatient units
• Familiarity with Epic electronic charting system
• Flexibility to accommodate block schedules with approval prior to assignment
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
