• Full-time, Days (5x8 hours, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
• Assist surgical teams during procedures by handling instruments and maintaining a sterile environment
• Ensure proper setup, turnover, and cleaning of surgical areas between cases
• Adhere to aseptic techniques, safety protocols, and infection control standards
• Support a variety of surgical cases, including trauma, general surgery, ENT, gynecology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, urology, and oral/maxillofacial surgery

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in acute care or teaching hospital settings
• IL state surgical tech license in hand at the time of submission
• BLS certification
• Experience with endoscopic procedures, general surgery, trauma, and specialty cases listed in the job description
• Ability to work in a Level I trauma center environment and handle high-acuity cases

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred
• Previous experience in a Magnet hospital or teaching hospital setting
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system and appropriate use of surgical instrumentation
