Job Title
• Therapist - Respiratory Therapist
Location
• Hilo, HI
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 15-week contract, day shifts (0630-1900), three 12-hour shifts weekly, no guarantee of hours, on-site
Key Responsibilities
• Provide continuous airway management, including ventilator and non-invasive support
• Monitor and support patients across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
• Collaborate with physicians on respiratory care plans
• Administer CPR and perform all aspects of respiratory therapy using advanced equipment
• Utilize computerized charting, medication management systems, and ventilators such as PB 980, PB 840, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Valid license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT credential)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS and NRP preferred
• Hawaii State Respiratory Therapist license or proof of application for licensure at the start of assignment
• Ability to care for patients of all age groups, including neonatal
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience managing a broad range of respiratory support modalities
• Prior work in acute care or hospital settings
