Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shift (12-hour shifts), 3 shifts per week, 13-16 week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in aMed/Surg unit focused on hematology and oncology diagnoses including lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemias, sickle cell disease, and other cancers.
• Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and manage oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome.
• Monitor patients via telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response calls.
• Perform IV therapy, blood product administration, central line draws, PICC line and peripheral line management, and maintain infection prevention protocols.
• Utilize computerized charting systems and adhere to safety and patient care standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio or compact state nursing license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response protocols.
• Skilled in IV therapy, blood product administration, central line management, and use of EPIC electronic health records.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology or hematology nursing experience.
• Knowledge of oncologic procedures, infection control, and patient fall prevention.
• Ability to self-schedule and coordinate with team needs.
