Registered Nurse

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Schedule / Job Type: Night shifts / Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Float between departments and/or local locations within a 20-mile radius as required.
• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care for a designated group of patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document all actions according to policy.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care and meet discharge planning needs.
• Supervise clinical staff, including LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel, when applicable.
• Pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test administered onsite before starting the assignment; re-test opportunities available if needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Current nursing license in the state of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in an 18-plus bed telemetry or progressive care unit.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be completed through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or similar organizations).
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel nursing assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with Epic EMR.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
