Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the medical-surgical unit, coordinating clinical activities to ensure safe, efficient treatment.
• Assess patient needs, monitor vital signs, and administer medications following hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and promptly in electronic medical records.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and provide crisis management as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and infection control standards, including bloodborne pathogen protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico or a compact state license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience.
• Must be able to work night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM).
• Knowledgeable about patient rights and effective communication skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (optional).
• Experience working in fast-paced, acute care environments.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to handle high-stress situations.
