Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for ICU patients, coordinating and implementing patient care aligned with unit standards.
• Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor vital signs to ensure safety and quality care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians and support staff, to develop and adjust care plans.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient care activities and assist in emergency or crisis situations.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control standards, and organizational policies.
• Demonstrate professionalism and respect for patients, families, and staff at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Mexico or a valid Compact state license.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and TNCC through AHA.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills appropriate to patient age and developmental level.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience.
• Prior experience working in a hospital environment with ventilated or critically ill patients.
• Knowledge of EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems.
