• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 or 4x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the IMC/PCU/Stepdown units, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing complex patient needs.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond to emergency situations effectively.
• Administer IV therapies, manage invasive lines, and perform post-procedure care such as sheaths removal and sheath compression.
• Care for patients with gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and renal conditions, including feeding tube management and dialysis care.
• Utilize advanced respiratory management such as chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, and high-flow oxygen.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately using Cerner electronic charting system.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience in acute care settings.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response protocols.
• Experience with IV therapy including PICC lines, arterial lines, blood products, and central line management.
• Knowledge of post-cardiac procedures, wound care, and ventilator management.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience.
• Cerner EMR system proficiency.
• Experience in teaching hospitals or Level I trauma centers.
• Level I trauma experience preferred.
