Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, nights, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to level II neonates, including babies born at 30 weeks gestation and higher, requiring intensive monitoring and support.
• Deliver care to well newborns at delivery and during transition periods.
• Collaborate with in-house neonatologists or pediatric hospitalists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer vents, IV starts, and participate in weekend rotations every other week.
• Support patients within a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care setting, adhering to NICU protocols and safety standards.
• Document patient care in the Epic charting system accurately and promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Valid state nursing license (Illinois or Missouri, or valid compact license).
• NICU Level II experience required.
• Special Care Nursery experience preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Experience with vents and IV starts necessary.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekend rotations.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic charting system.
• Prior experience working in a Level II NICU setting.
• Strong knowledge of neonatal care protocols and equipment.
