- Full-time, nights, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to level II neonates, including babies born at 30 weeks gestation and higher, requiring intensive monitoring and support.
- Deliver care to well newborns at delivery and during transition periods.
- Collaborate with in-house neonatologists or pediatric hospitalists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer vents, IV starts, and participate in weekend rotations every other week.
- Support patients within a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care setting, adhering to NICU protocols and safety standards.
- Document patient care in the Epic charting system accurately and promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state nursing license (Illinois or Missouri, or valid compact license).
- NICU Level II experience required.
- Special Care Nursery experience preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- Experience with vents and IV starts necessary.
- Ability to work night shifts and weekend rotations.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic electronic charting system.
- Prior experience working in a Level II NICU setting.
- Strong knowledge of neonatal care protocols and equipment.
