Location

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel, 13-week assignment, day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients on the trauma stepdown unit, ensuring timely assessments and interventions
- Monitor patients using telemetry and other advanced equipment, adhering to unit protocols
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including IV drips and emergency interventions
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system (Meditech)
- Ensure patient safety with close monitoring of vital signs, neurological status, and postoperative recovery
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH stroke scale certification (preferred or to be obtained upon hire)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma, orthopedic, or neuro/spine experience
- Meditech EMR experience
- Experience managing patients with complex surgical and neurological diagnoses
