- Full-time, night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient outcomes and modify plans of care within a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide explanations and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons regarding respiratory conditions, interventions, and discharge procedures.
- Share clinical knowledge with staff and students, serving as a role model for best practices.
- Plan, implement, and assess the effectiveness of respiratory care treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Communicate effectively with medical and nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Accept reassignment to other units as needed to support hospital operations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
- Valid Illinois Respiratory Care License (RRT).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP-MHC certification.
- Experience working in a hospital setting providing respiratory therapy.
