Key Responsibilities

• Manage postoperative patients recovering from anesthesia, including those with complex needs such as multiple drains, vasoactive drips, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, including telemetry and EKG interpretation, ensuring safe recovery from surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical and radiology teams to provide seamless patient care in a Level I trauma center.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing complicated post-op cases, including recovery from general anesthesia and critical care practices.
• Utilize Epic electronic medical records for charting and documentation of patient care activities.
• Pass the Relias EKG exam, including the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

Required Qualifications

• License in good standing as a Registered Nurse in Missouri (or valid compact license).
• Minimum of 1 year of critical care or Level I Trauma Center experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and Vents certifications.
• Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and managing vasoactive medications.
• Ability to pass Relias EKG exam.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level I trauma or critical care setting.
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health records system.
• Ability to float within the service line as needed to meet facility requirements.

Additional Notes

• Must pass a background check and meet all compliance requirements, including travel and licensing standards.
• This position involves rotating between PACU and pre/post interventional radiology areas.
• No weekends, nights, or on-call required, but on-call availability is required as needed.
• RTO requests are limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract.
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted for this assignment.
