Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, day shifts, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week

Key Responsibilities

• Float between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles as needed.
• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care during assigned shifts.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care for all patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs, treatments, and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders or standard protocols, documenting accurately.
• Identify and address patient and family learning, discharge needs, and provide education throughout the care episode.
• Supervise and provide clinical guidance to LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Complete age-appropriate and procedure-specific competency testing per unit standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a large Operating Room.
• Ability to scrub in surgical procedures.
• Valid RN license in New Mexico or a compact state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Flexibility, teamwork, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred but not required (training available).
• Orthopedic, EENT, and/or Vascular surgical experience a plus.
