Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for a diverse range of surgical and trauma patients in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Administer blood products, operate and care for central and peripheral lines, and manage surgical drains and nasal cannulas.
• Implement non-invasive airway management and adhere to isolation precautions.
• Perform wound care, including wound vac management, and respond effectively to rapid response team calls.
• Maintain documentation using hospital systems such as EPIC and Pyxis, ensuring compliance with safety and clinical protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid NC or Compact registered nurse license in hand at start
• Minimum of 2 years of recent surgical unit experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and blood products
• Experience with central line care and management, wound care, and airway management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Titrate cardiac or vasoactive drips
• Manage chest tubes, including Pleur-evac systems
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Prior traveler experience preferred but not required
