Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, temporary; Night shift (3x12s, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM); Night shifts with up to 5 weekend shifts per schedule; Holiday coverage if scheduled during that period; On-call requirements vary; Possible float within scope based on unit needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pediatric critical care to patients aged 0-18 in a 28-bed Level I Trauma Center.
• Monitor and support patients with complex medical conditions, including respiratory, neurological, trauma, surgical, ECMO, and CRRT cases.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain compliance with unit protocols and safety standards, ensuring patient-centered care.
• Adapt to fluctuating patient ratios (1:1, 1:2, 1:3) across ICU and step-down areas.
• Participate in emergency response efforts during hurricane season when required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric ICU experience.
• Valid SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only).
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Willing to accept first-time travel assignments and float within scope.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO, CRRT, or other advanced pediatric supportive therapies.
• Prior work in a Level I Trauma or teaching hospital environment.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
