Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 4 nights per week, 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00), Night shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized critical nursing care to cardiac ICU patients, including post-open heart surgery interventions.
• Manage inpatient pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz catheter management, and Impella device monitoring.
• Care for patients undergoing direct open-heart admissions from OR and CRRT management.
• Follow protocols for pressure monitoring, Impella, and other advanced cardiac support devices.
• Document clinical observations and interventions accurately using electronic medical records.
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with all critical care standards and certifications.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in WV or a Compact State (pending license acceptable).
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a critical care or ICU setting.
• Experience with open-heart admissions, pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz, Impella, and CRRT.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association.
• Must have at least 2 recent manager or charge nurse references.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility, with exceptions considered for 75–100 miles on a case-by-case basis.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a CVICU or cardiac ICU setting.
• Experience working with Cerner EMR system.
• Travel experience is not required but must meet compliance standards.
