Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, including advanced cardiac, vascular, and acute inpatient monitoring.
• Manage and administer insulin drips, cardiac drips, and IV therapies, ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols.
• Float to various units as needed, supporting patient care across the facility’s resource float team.
• Document and monitor patient conditions using EPIC EMR, updating care plans and collaborating with healthcare team members.
• Respond to emergency situations, utilizing advanced skills in cardiopulmonary support and critical care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and dress code standards (navy blue or white scrubs, closed-toe nonskid shoes).

Required Qualifications

• Active NY Registered Nurse license on file.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification required prior to start date.
• Minimum of 1 year of telehealth or telemetry experience in an inpatient setting.
• Experience with IV starts, post-cardiac cath care, and medication infusions (insulin, cardiac drips).
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system within the last 2 years.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Experience working with adult patient populations in acute care or intensive care environments.
• Ability to effectively function as part of a floating resource team.
