Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients in a 16-bed unit.
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using electronic fetal monitoring equipment.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs.
- Ensure compliance with unit policies and safety standards.
- Document patient information accurately within the Cerner EMR system.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- High-risk obstetric experience.
- Certification in BLS/ALS.
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating nurse experience.
- Experience with neonatal care and immediate newborn procedures.
