Key Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound procedures for inpatient and emergency department patients.
- Ensure accurate and high-quality imaging to support clinical diagnosis.
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays, with on-site presence within one hour of call.
- Assist in training and sharing knowledge with colleagues, including fellows and students.
- Occasionally travel to remote care facilities with portable ultrasound equipment for outpatient exams.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited technical or associate degree program in Radiology or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in intermediate-level echocardiography or vascular skills.
- Certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS.
- Proficiency in transthoracic echocardiography.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with Philips iE33/EPIQ ultrasound systems.
- Experience training or mentoring clinical team members and students.
