Key Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures in computed tomography (CT) and potentially other modalities such as MRI, nuclear medicine, or interventional radiology, under the supervision of a radiologist.
- Ensure imaging protocols are followed for accurate diagnosis of disease and injury.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment and assist in procedures like biopsies when necessary.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Adhere to established protocols and safety standards, including radiation safety regulations.
- Document procedures accurately and manage patient records.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) or equivalent certification.
- Certified in Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT or equivalent).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year hospital CT experience.
- Experience with procedures and biopsies a plus.
- Valid radiation safety certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Additional certification or experience in MRI, nuclear medicine, or interventional radiology.
- Experience working in a hospital setting with advanced imaging modalities.
- Ability to perform procedures independently and assist during complex imaging studies.
