Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to ICU patients, including those post-thrombectomy, TPA administration, and neurosurgery recovery
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients using advanced equipment such as Baxter pumps, bedside EVDs, and A-line monitoring
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Document patient progress accurately within the Cerner system and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Float to other ICUs or step-down units as needed, maintaining high standards of patient safety and care

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• ICU experience, especially in neurology or stroke units
• Experience with neurology post-thrombectomy and TPA patients, as well as post-neurosurgery care
• Ability to operate specialized ICU equipment and perform bedside procedures such as CRRT, bedside EVD placement, and A-line monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neurology experience preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner documentation system
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment
