Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, temp assignment for up to 32 weeks
- Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients across all age groups, including ICU and ED, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer advanced respiratory therapies, including ventilator management and airway management protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary, utilizing hospital electronic medical records (Epic).
- Adhere to all safety and documentation standards, including medication administration via Pixis.
- Support external transports for adult critical care patients as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy, including Neonatal and Pediatric ICU experience
- Epic experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
- Able to work every other weekend and as needed for holidays according to unit needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with mechanical ventilation, ventilator management, and advanced airway devices (e.g., Hamilton C3, T1 ventilators, V60 NIV, etc.)
- Previous hospital-based respiratory therapy experience in a Level 2 trauma facility
- Comfort with performing external transports and following unit-specific protocols
