Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location:

Schedule / Job Type:
Rotating shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency care to diverse patient populations in a busy hospital setting
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medication, and perform assessments
- Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement care plans
- Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and safety standards
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Maintain flexibility with rotating schedules, including minimum coverage every other weekend
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN license with proper state licensure
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required (TNCC and NIHSS must be completed prior to start)
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience
- Experience with EPIC EMR system within the past 2 years
- Prior travel experience preferred, particularly in large teaching hospitals and facilities with 500+ beds
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and maintain professionalism at all times
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Certifications such as CEN, ENPC, MOAB, or de-escalation training (e.g., CPS)
- Experience in large, teaching hospital environments
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and patient safety protocols

Additional Information:
- Assignment start date: 02/09 for 16 to 32 weeks
- Per diem rates: $105/hour for travel, $95/hour for local within 50 miles, $100/hour for 51-100 miles
- No block scheduling; bi-weekly orientation on Mondays
- Reliable transportation is required; personal or rental vehicle recommended, especially during winter months
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained, and full work history details are required for submission
