Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a long-term acute care setting.
- Float within hospital units including ICU step-down, Brain Health, and LTC Vent unit to support patient needs.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions, utilizing specialized skills for ventilator and complex respiratory support.
- Administer medications, manage medical devices such as G-tubes, PICC lines, chest tubes, and tracheostomies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies on attendance and timely reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a critical care or LTAC setting.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills for patient assessment and care interventions.
- Ability to work night shifts and flexible with floating within hospital units.
- References required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for ventilated patients with complex respiratory needs.
- Knowledge of specialty equipment such as mechanical ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and medical monitors.
- Experience with neurological and post-rehabilitation patient care is a plus.
