Key Responsibilities
• Independently plan and implement routine nursing care in predictable situations within a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care setting.
• Demonstrate leadership responsibilities, effective communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration.
• Utilize equipment such as matrix care charting and operate various automated office equipment.
• Adapt to variable shifts, including rotating weekends, with no on-call requirements.
• Complete organization orientation and facility-specific training at the Work Facility Center (WFC).
Required Qualifications
• Current Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire; TEAM/BERT certification within 90 days.
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn new software programs.
• Minimum of one (1) year of recent clinical experience for RN II, with potential advancement based on experience.
• For RN III, at least three (3) years of current clinical experience or one (1) year as an RN II.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills.
