Location
• York, ME
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 36 hours/week, 12-hour shifts (Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday)
• May include variable shifts due to census and holiday coverage
Key Responsibilities
• Perform MRI procedures, including building and following protocols
• Screen patients for contraindications and adhere to safety requirements per ACR and facility protocols
• Explain procedures to patients, address concerns, and ensure patient comfort
• Monitor patient safety continuously, both visually and verbally
• Operate MRI equipment and other related devices for patient care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and ensure proper equipment functioning
• Assist with inventory management and report equipment status
• Follow safety protocols, including metal object removal and hazard alerting
• Perform additional duties as necessary to support patient care and safety
Required Qualifications
• Associates Degree or relevant certification from a two-year college or accredited program
• ARRT registration as an MRI technologist
• BCLS certification obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior MRI technologist experience is a plus
• Knowledge of MRI safety procedures and protocols
• Strong patient communication skills and professionalism
