Key Responsibilities
• Provide holistic medical social services to patients and their families to address physical, social, emotional, and environmental challenges.
• Assist patients of all ages, from prenatal to elderly, in resolving or improving issues that impact health and well-being.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Support patients in understanding and navigating healthcare resources and community services.
• Document patient interactions and social service interventions accurately and thoroughly.
• May perform supervisory tasks as needed and work independently or with a team to serve patient needs effectively.

Required Qualifications
• Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• One (1) year of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Alaska State license at the Master’s level (LMSW).
• Valid Alaska State driver’s license.
• Basic computer literacy.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Bilingual skills in English and Yup'ik.
• Experience working in cross-cultural environments.
• Strong communication skills for one-on-one and group settings.
• Ability to interpret data, graphs, and statistical information.
