Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the intermediate, progressive, and step-down units.
• Monitor patient conditions closely, including neurologic status, using NIHSS assessments.
• Document care and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Manage multiple patients during each shift, prioritizing urgent needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license with Nursys verification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an ICU, IMC, PCU, or step-down setting.
• Experience with neuro patients preferred.
• NIHSS certification required; must be included in CV packet.
• ACLS certification required; noted on profile.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Ability to work 8-hour night shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong med/surg background with neuro and step-down exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
