Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Tuba City, AZ

Schedule / Job Type:

Full-time, Days shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care to patients in various specialty areas including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental.
• Circulate in all operating room settings, assisting with surgical procedures and maintaining sterile techniques.
• Assist with scrubbing duties and prepare for emergency cases on short notice.
• Perform assessments, formulate nursing diagnoses, plan interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Work with a diverse patient population, including Native American tribes and other community members.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid, current, and unrestricted nursing license from any U.S. state or territory.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification from the American Heart Association within six months of hire.
• NIHSS certification within six months of hire.
• CNOR certification from CCI within one year of hire.
• Trauma Nursing core courses (TNCC) within two years of hire.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of two years of clinical or operating room nursing experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Circulating and scrubbing experience in multiple surgical specialties.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call and emergency cases.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Experience working in a diverse, rural healthcare environment.
