Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), including scrub duties during surgical procedures under supervision.
• Assist in departmental operations and ensure all procedures adhere to approved nursing practices.
• Demonstrate clinical competency in caring for patients across various stages of life, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Recognize and address the clinical and comfort needs of diverse patient populations, such as bariatric, pediatric, and special needs patients.
• Administer medications accurately, monitor effects, and implement current medical regimens to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain documentation of competency requirements and adhere to hospital-specific protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Operating room nursing experience in Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, or hybrid vascular procedures.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts with on-call requirements.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of current nursing practices, equipment, and patient safety protocols.
• Willingness to start ASAP for immediate staffing needs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in CVOR or cardiothoracic surgical environments.
• Critical thinking skills and ability to exercise clinical judgment.
• Experience with pediatric, bariatric, or special populations is a plus.
