Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to laboring patients in a busy hospital setting.
• Monitor fetal wellbeing and maternal status using advanced fetal monitoring equipment.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum recovery.
• Perform procedures including cervical exams, IUPC and FSE placements, IV starts, and lab draws.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including laborists, anesthesiologists, and support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Current RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Certifications in NRP, ACLS, BLS, and AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring.
• Proven ability to perform obstetric procedures and manage high-acuity patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel or contract experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Familiarity with advanced tools such as fetal pillows, Cook's catheters, and Spinning Babies principles.
• Experience working with electronic health record systems such as Meditech and Centricity.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
