Key Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for MRI scans, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Follow all safety protocols, including contrast media administration and radiation safety practices.
- Ensure accurate image capture and proper documentation within the PACS system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to meet patient care and diagnostic needs.
- Adhere to facility policies regarding PPE and infection control, including isolation precautions.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT MRI certification and BCLS certification in hand at start date.
- Valid NC or Compact state license for MRI technologist, pending acceptable at submission and in hand at start.
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience, including knowledge of MRI contrast preparation.
- Experience with MRI procedures such as MRA, MRCP, and various body and extremity scans.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple patient cases efficiently.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital outpatient or emergency department setting.
- Familiarity with Epic or similar EMR systems.
- Prior travel MRI technician experience is acceptable; candidates must be comfortable floating to different units as needed.
