Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and calculate treatment plans for radiation therapy patients according to physician directives.
• Utilize imaging and simulation equipment such as CT scanners and linear accelerators to create precise treatment fields.
• Collaborate with radiation therapists, oncologists, and medical physicists to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
• Operate and adjust complex radiotherapy equipment, including linear accelerators and imaging systems like CT.
• Maintain detailed documentation of treatment plans and patient information, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and ensure all equipment and procedures meet regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Certification as a Dosimetrist (ARRT(R) or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in a radiation oncology setting.
• Ability to operate a linear accelerator and CT imaging equipment.
• Radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency; facility does not supply radiation badges.
• South Carolina license preferred or proof of application.
• BLS certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of clinical dosimetry experience.
• Experience with treatment planning software such as Aria or Vision.
• Familiarity with simulation procedures and equipment operation.
