Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and calculate treatment plans for radiation therapy patients according to physician directives.
- Utilize imaging and simulation equipment such as CT scanners and linear accelerators to create precise treatment fields.
- Collaborate with radiation therapists, oncologists, and medical physicists to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
- Operate and adjust complex radiotherapy equipment, including linear accelerators and imaging systems like CT.
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatment plans and patient information, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to radiation safety practices and ensure all equipment and procedures meet regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Dosimetrist (ARRT(R) or equivalent).
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a radiation oncology setting.
- Ability to operate a linear accelerator and CT imaging equipment.
- Radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency; facility does not supply radiation badges.
- South Carolina license preferred or proof of application.
- BLS certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of clinical dosimetry experience.
- Experience with treatment planning software such as Aria or Vision.
- Familiarity with simulation procedures and equipment operation.
