Job Title
• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, Nights, 12.5-hour shifts, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown units, including post-surgical and critically ill cardiac patients.
• Monitor and manage hemodynamic stability, including invasive lines, ventilators, and cardiac devices such as IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube management, pacing wire care, and patient ambulation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality cardiac care in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to unit policies, maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend shifts as scheduled.

Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or PCU experience, preferably in CVICU or cardiac stepdown.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Critical care training with experience managing cardiac devices and hemodynamics.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care.
• Experience with advanced cardiac procedures such as LVADs, Impella, IABP, and ECMO.
• High energy, friendly personality with a love for surgical heart care and patient advocacy.
